Medical Society, Inaugural Meeting October 1974
Order Paper from the Medical Society’s Inaugural Meeting on Friday 25 October, 1974. The medal in the bottom left corner of the picture is the Society’s silver medal for clinical presentation.
This copy of the order paper was kindly shared with us by Dr Pauline Cushman who graduated MB BCh BAO in 1975.
The medal in the bottom left corner was awarded to Dr. Cushman at the Inaugural for a clinical presentation of a patient with Lindau-von Hippel Disease which is cerebro-retinal-haemangioblastomatosis. It involves tumours in multiple organs and is hereditary. She was a patient of Prof DK O’Donovan in St Vincent’s. At the time, Prof O’Donovan was also the Dean of the Medical School.
